Meet Flavia
Flavia DeBrito is a mother, immigrant from Cape Verde, tax professional, community advocate, and longtime Waterville resident. Her experiences raising a family, helping people navigate complicated systems, and serving in local and state government shape the way she approaches public service.
Rooted in Community
Flavia believes leadership starts with listening. Her path to public service grew from advocacy for children and families, community organizing, and helping residents find their way through systems that can often feel overwhelming.
Serving Waterville and Winslow
Today, Flavia represents House District 64, covering parts of Waterville and Winslow. She serves on the Legislature’s Joint Standing Committee on Health and Human Services and represents Ward 2 on the Waterville City Council.
Focused on Families
A graduate of Thomas College, Flavia brings her education, professional experience, and lived experience to every part of her work. She remains focused on strengthening families, supporting the local economy, and ensuring that people who are too often overlooked have a voice in the decisions that affect them.
Moving Forward Together means staying connected to the people she serves, listening to their experiences, and doing the work with them.
